What is the function of "eens"?

It's a modal particle which changes the mood of the sentence somewhat. Makes it sound a little friendlier.

Hi Rigel.I wondered if "Kom mee", even if a bit less friendy, could be correct too. (As in real life, saying it on a soft and calm way, you make it being friendly by yourself, don't you?) Bye, Lu.

Is "Ga je mee" possible?

I think that would be more like "go along", which suggests that you are telling the person to go somewhere, rather than "come along" which implies that you are asking the person to come with you specifically. But I could be wrong!!

Why not kom met mij?

"Kom met mij mee" or "Kom met me mee" seem to be fine but may be somewhat lyrical (as a quick google search reveals mostly song titles).
