I'm almost done learning spanish in school and my teacher reccomended that we find a tv show in spanish, but most of the ones she reccomended are reality/comedy and anyway, rewatching game of thrones and battlestar galactica over and over is no way to live

haha those are two of the shows I'm thinking about watching. I'm also watching the dubbed versions of Friends and Supernatural. The only sci-fi show I've heard about in Spanish is El Barco, which is about a ship that takes off, and then something happens to the earth's structure that results in like 99% of the surface being covered in water and they can't find the last bit of land. I didn't get very far, honestly, because it was a bit hard to understand for me at the time and the plot wasn't super engaging. If anyone knows any other shows, I'd be really interested to know.

Como se dice "airlocked" en español?

BRB off to find Spanish dubs of Star Trek and BSG. Sounds like a good time to me!

There's Aguila Roja, which is a 17th century Zorro-esque adventure series. It's not quite fantasy, but there's a bit of occult craziness going on in it. At least in the first episode. I haven't gotten further yet since I'm finishing up a different series before I try to plow through it.

I don't know of any particular sci-fi spanish programs and it doesn't sound like you're interesting in re-watching movies you already saw in Spanish . . . so why not try a "Let's Play" video en español. There's a bunch of sci-fi content. Alien Isolation may be a good start.

I've been looking for Spanish language sci-fi, too. I think the genre might be more of an Anglo/Russian thing. My Chinese students have told me that Sci-Fi isn't very popular in China, and they think of it as being something Americans are into. It kind of makes sense that Americans would be more into sci-fi than other peoples because Americans have a history of space exploration that few other nations have.
