Difference from automatisch and automatik?
Automatisch = automatic (adjective)
Die Automatik = the automatism (noun)
Or perhaps automaton instead.
It shouldn't be wrong to translate it as "are you automatic?" :/

Just don't get how this would be used? We don't go around asking people if they are automatic.
Lots of machines or processes can be automatic or manual.
I'm in the middle of buying a car. I can quite easily imagine myself checking if the cars in the lot are automatic.
Why so many exercises with are they automatic??????!!!
