My tip for practising French...
To all of you French learners/addicts out there:
I have been using a site to help with my French skills which I think would be really useful to all of you. The site is dedicated to people learning French and the author regularly writes articles about grammar structures and tenses as well as french traditions, reading and listening practices. It's been really useful to me as a student and I thought it's something that the Duolingo community would appreciate. The site is:
Take a look if you want to, it's just one of my little language resources that i've found :)
Yes, that's a good resource. I hadn't visited her new site in about a month and she has added a lot of content in the meantime. Laura Lawless used to be the French moderator at french.about.com and did all of the grammar lessons on that website- and they are extensive.
Yeah about.com has been a life saver with a lot of stuff. Sometimes I find explanations in the comments confusing as they are often filled with too much linguistic jargon, but I always find about.com really useful. Also stuff isn't always discussed in the comments but there is always something on it at about.com. It is really the other site I use when I am stuck. She deserves our praises and visits to her new site.
thanks because, i might move to paris maybe the site could help me with my french.
It's not quite the same as lawlessfrench, but I use french.about.com for verb conjugations and other grammar info, plus 'fr.news.yahoo.com' for news articles in French :) Oh, and the twitter page for lawlessfrench sometimes post articles they've found on the internet that are quite interesting.
