I have conquered the German skill tree !
Hi everybody ! After a long, fun, interesting and challanging journey along the German language, I have finally finished the German skill tree !
It took me 10 months to do it (I had a few brakes ..) but I did it, I finished the German tree skill !
I must say I learned so much about German and my German language has reached to high levels !
I always wanted to learn German, but I didn't know where to start from. Then, my friend have shown me Duolingo, since then, I thank everyday that he has discovered it to me .
So, it's just the beginning, I have to learn much more about German : make my tree all golden (and keep it like this !), reading books, watching German TV, movies, talking with people, translating materials on Duolingo, talking with girls =D ,and so many great things I can do with German (;
Finally, I want to thank all the people on Duolingo who helped me with the German language, without you the learning would have been much harder !
Now, It's time to pick up the phase on the next language : Dutch ! (Good luck to me =D) .
Thank you everyone !
Good Job! I'm also learning German right now, but I am only on level 2! :( I love Duolingo, my brother showed it to me, and I LOVE it! Well, viel gluck in German! :D
Nice! :D Can't wait until I finish mine... won't be for a long time, though. GG, and good luck with Dutch!
Good for you! I learned german for a while, but I switched to portuguese. Good luck on dutch
Wow, congratulations. I want to conquer it in 12 months. I'm on the month two.
hi buddy.u have gone a pretty long way in german. i have just started. i wonder if u made some good suggestion to me about how could i make my learning more effective in german and offer me some other lateral ways other than dialingo that u have found positively effective tnx
I know I'm not the one who's supposed to reply, but, I have a strategy on making learning effective, what you need to do is get a small notebook, or pocketbook, and write every Golden word in it with it's translation, and every time you forgot a word you write it down on it and put an (*) to remind you of the words you are forgetting, the notebook does not only serve as a record, but also a guide, and a review on the language, I have been doing this and it has improved my vocabulary.
i'm sure having a notebook along will help, not only just for looking at but when u write something down on a page it will have a good effect on learning it. i will think on that. maybe that's a good way to keep every new word in a small notebook.
In learning anything in general, attach personal meaning to the words. Don't just memorize them.
Let's use "Apfel" as an example. Describe it in relation to your personal experiences in more ways than one. "Apfel" means "apple". But to you, "Apfel" also means that fruit that you love to eat, or hate. Sometimes, it's red. Sometimes, it's green.
You could also use your imagination. Apfel spells like what? Apple and fell? So, you could imagine a bruised apple on the ground. Or, you could see it as apple and Eiffel tower. So, imagine that there's an apple pierced at the top of the Eiffel tower.
I'm taking a go at the German tree, can someone explain to me how well I will be able to READ german by the time I finish it all? I ask so it can motivate me to keep going :)
Lets finish the tree first and i am quite sure that as duolingo helped us to reach this place we are in now, people here will help us as well to move on and improve our skills in germany more and more...... Keep going man and don't look behind :)
Congrats! I am wondering how often did you study and for how long, if finished in 10 month. I look at the tree and can not figure it out how long I steel need ..... Currently I put all my books and hobbies aside...... I miss them, but I want to finish the tree first! Good luck with Dutch.
Gut gemacht!! I finished it too, and it got very frustrating near the end. I had to write things I didn't know down and read over them before trying the lessons again after losing all my hearts. Unfortunately, that was what amounted to studying for a test and I've already forgotten much of what I learned for those levels, but I think I have a grasp on the general grammatical concepts.
