Duolingo Newspaper

I was wondering if you guys would send out a daily or a weekly newsletter via email so everyone knows what was going on. Please leave suggestions or comments. Thanks!

I don't think a daily or weekly is necisary. I have only been on here for three weeks, so maybe not long enough for know this is happening already, but I would like an email about new features and news, but only when they happen not on any periodic schedule.

Good point. What do you think about a email about upcoming things like once a week or month.

As much as I love Duolingo and even though I have heard of things being worked on I think it won't ever be anymore different that it is. They will add vocabulary, improve on lesson translations, etc, nothing worth advertising as coming soon. Things like maybe a chat room added and new language addition will occur so infrequent that they can just tell us by email as they happen and maybe inform us then about whats in the works then. I would rather they spend their money on improving the site rather than doing a weekly or month newsletter. What would be best is a news section up top along with immersion, Discussion.....

I understand. What if Duolingo added another section on Duolingo which was a newspaper and they put updates on there. Would you like it on the page and not via email?

Yeah, that was my last sentence. Most websites have news section and there not really ever in the theme of a newspaper, but why not. That be fine, in fact when I first got on here, since I'm use to seeing that, I looked for it because out of curiosity I wanted to see what updated had brought Duolingo to this point and/or find out different features I might not know of even to this day. That's the benefit of having it on the website, new users can find out about old updates.

What if us two both throw the idea out to Duolingo?

They already know. Trust me there are Duolingo employees reading through these boards all the time.
