I would think "what does the student write?" Should be an accepted translation
One of the given answers, "what has the student writing about" is incorrect English

I listened over and over again to what Duolingo said. It sounded like 'Tryleps' ! How was I supposed to know it was 'schreibt' ?!
Bsaff-that's what I put! I often find the speaker VERY hard to understand aswell!
What's wrong with "What the pupil is writing about"?
In English the "is" must come after the what. Sort of like German
Why not, "what is the student writing?"
Question : why is this not in the accusative?
