Can it be "in Chritmas' month", or only "December"?

A literal translation of mí na Nollag wouldn’t translate the usually intended meaning well, much as the literal translation of Latin December (“tenth month”) wouldn’t translate well as the tenth month of the Gregorian calendar.

Perhaps the literal translation of mí na Nollag might work well in some sort of Christmas-themed writing?
