Du, dig, er

What is the difference between the words "Du","Dig", and "Er"? On duolingo it says that all three mean "you". Are these used in different contexts, or are they interchangeable? Tack!

du is singular and is used as a subject and dig is singular version that is used as an object. ni is plural for the subject and er is the plural object. Here is a quick guide: http://ielanguages.com/swedish1.html#subject
