Practice your Swedish while watching this classic TV show

As any Swede would tell you, the show "Fem myror är fler än fyra elefanter" is a must-see for anyone aspiring to be Swedish. Some might even call it a rite of passage :p

It is a kids show, but the slow pace is just what you need when you're starting to grasp a new language.

You can find a bunch of it on youtube. For example, this one even has subtitles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bm-ip7Lpk24

Bonus: You'll find references to this show in duolingo :P

Yeah, but I noticed they weren't %100 right at some parts, and were sometimes slow.

Take a look at SVT Play. They have several shows that are viewable worldwide and also have optional subtitles available. There might be tricky to find thins at the right level especially without beig able to navigate the site.

To get a list of the programs available worldwide go to http://www.svtplay.se/program?rattigheter=utomlands

If you only want to see programs with subtitles available go to http://www.svtplay.se/program?tillganglighet=textat&rattigheter=utomlands

And for a list of children's programs with subtitles available worldwide go to http://www.svtplay.se/barn?tillganglighet=textat&rattigheter=utomlands

And by all means don't miss out on the quality enhanced Pippi Longstockings that will be available until March. (Currently three episodes are available, and I think one more is added each week) http://www.svtplay.se/video/2520376/pippi-langstrump/avsnitt-1

My wife used to watch these when she was a child. It was very important for me to see them as well, she told me, even though I was in my 30's when I started learning the language.

Thanks for posting. However, watching that made me feel that it's going to be a really long haul before I have any sort of fluency. :(
