Why was "Vi åker i centrum" not accepted? I thought åker was a quasi-synonym for går. Same with i centrum and på stan. Am I missing something? Thanks!
I tried "Vi går i centrum", which wasn't accepted.
Same with "Vi åker till centrum." Not sure what is wrong with this.
We're taught that "centrum" means "downtown" everywhere else in this course.
Is this a Stockholm-expression? I live in Skåne and have not heard that.
No, ”på stan” is a general expression for like ”in the city-centre/downtown” and it’s common everywhere as far as I know. I also live in Skåne.
I still dont understand this sentence
