I reported it for not accepting the literal translation "they know to read."

It's not grammatically correct in English

Why is "they know to read" wrong?

I cannot hear that "m."

Is that just me?

why wouldn't this be "Eles sabem como ler"?

That sounds awkward. They know how to read = they can read = eles sabem ler. So, it's not translated literally, but that's not wrong, just not used a lot.

Better listen to the slower one

elesappeler? Lousy audio. Not impressed. Slow version is sometimes a bit better; but the natives never speak slowly...do they? So what is the use? Thanks Mr. SIM. Walt

The fast version could pass as 'ele sabe ler'. Im finding im playing the slow versions every time, which takes me longer... it's annoying.
