Golden owl for my spanish tree
I finally completed my Spanish tree after 350 days on Duolingo. Thank you Duolingo!
Its been an awesome experience. I was watching a movie the other day. It had a part of the movie where they travel to Mexico. There were no subtitles, yet I was able to understand and get the just of what was going on.
And now, off to start my reverse tree. (I am going to disable the voice though since the English voice is just terrible. Cant this be updated, to use something like the google translator voice. The woman pronounces some words incredibly strange. To the point where I didn't even understand it unless I looked at it)
what's a reverse tree? I'm guessing you're going through the Spanish tree all the way from the bottom to the top?
PS: Congrats on completing the tree :)!
You can select to learn English from Spanish. That way you learn all sorts of words and ways words are melded into one that is not presented in the Spanish tree.
My wife complete that one already and has told me about lots of new things she had learnt doing it.
The only problem with that, its not as easy to change over to that language and back since it not just a dropdown and select. But, I set up some bookmarks to the two different ones, so now its just one click to swap languages.
Also, your entire duolingo app is in Spanish then. Teaches you even more words that way.
I changed my Galaxy note to Spanish a few months ago. Man, did that teach me lots of words even before I got them in Duolingo
When I was on the phone the other day to activate a credit card I pressed 2 for Spanish. I also self-checkout at the grocery store in Spanish. Congratulations on finishing the tree!
Oh nice one. We dont have any spanish in SA, but we have also changed our cars over to spanish
Regarding the TTS, I believe, they update these as and when they find better alternatives. Happy learning!
