One golden owl in the bag!

I have just finished my Spanish Tree! It is an amazing feeling of accomplishment!

It took me a little more than five months to finish. I took the slow road and did a lot of repetition to really solidify my knowledge and I believe that it payed off in the end.

So am I fluent in Spanish? Definitely not, and there is a long way to go before I am. I do however understand a lot when listening, a lot more than before. I have not been doing any conversation practice while doing the tree. But that should be the next step. That and Immersion. I will be going for level 25 now.

¡Felicitaciones! Bien hecho. Saludos! :)

you can reach owlhood at level 11?

Also ive noticed some are longer than others like the french tree is 150% of what the spanish tree consists of

also looking back at it would you rather have put all that time in being really good at one or even two new languages instead of spreading it out over five?

Oh, my level in french is 15 not 7, is a problem with the site.... Well, I finished all my trees from level 11 to 12 , I've been studying all this languages for about 2 years, but I didn't start here... English I learned in a tradicional school with a teacher, the other ones I learned by myself in two years, but german was the last one, so I don't know german very much... I also know a little of esperanto :) ... And english and spanish trees I made in a day, just taking the test level... I am addict to learn lol , and I can't learn just one or two if I can learn more lol .I started with one each time, giving the time enough to each one, to learn pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar, is my way to learn :)

¡Muy bien hecho! I would recommend continuing not only in Immersion but also with Memrise. There is a very good course on various sayings that will make you sound more fluent here: http://www.memrise.com/course/220723/advanced-spanish-phrases-expressions/

Do you plan to complete the reverse tree?

Thanks! :) I don't have any plans to do the reverse tree right now. I feel like I could really benefit from doing some practical conversation practice and some Immersion.

I'd recommend doing the reverse tree as well. You should be able to test out of most of it anyway. You'll probably be able to test into level 9 or 10 off the bat, saving you some time.

I just found out about this site and learning Spanish. I was telling someone at my school how I recently purchased, Rosetta Stone on cyber Monday, when they mentioned this site to me. Well, suffice it to say, Rosetta is repackaged and heading back to Amazon, Tuesday, unopened. I'm only on Level 6, and finally pulled out the headphone w/mic to hook up to laptop. Now, can use both laptop./iPad. Long road ahead of me, but, it's fun and learned so much, already. I can't seem to get a pic to upload, try as I might for a pic profile. Everything else on this site, functions properly.

That's great. I have only been doing Duolingo 'Spanish' for 15 days. I am on level eight. How do I know how many lessons that are left on this level? The "tree" thing confuses me.

https://www.duolingo.com/Zhazzam

What your level is does not really matter as to how far you are in the tree. You need to finish all the lessons in the tree.

When you complete or redo a lesson you get XP and when you have enough XP you level up. But your level is really just an expression of how well you know the language. To complete the tree you just need to complete all lessons in the tree :)
