Don't worry, me too! Those verbs can take a while to stick. Finishing the tree doesn't necessarily mean moving it all into long term storage. I recommend doing a lot of review, and also looking up grammar explanations behind the conjugation. The more exposure to Spanish in real usage, the better.

Once you feel ready, I recommend trying the English for Spanish speakers course. (If English is your native language.) It doesn't seem like it the first few skills, but it is quite a challenge!

PS I recommend using Duolingo's Immersion feature. And if you want to branch out further and read other stuff online like the news or fanfiction, ReadLang has a great extension for Chrome!

Worry not, Duolingo knows what you need to practice and will teach you while you keep your tree gold. As for verb conjugation, go here:

Even after having learned the rules for conjugations, sometimes I still need to double check, like maybe I forgot an irregular form or something, and I find Barron's 501 Spanish verbs to be a great reference. Full conjugations (14 tenses + imperative, gerund and past participle), examples, explanations - I try to keep it handy whenever I'm thinking about Spanish. There's also a pocket version out there too. Lots of sources out there, but I got mine from thriftbooks: http://www.thriftbooks.com/w/501-spanish-verbs_christopher-kendris/247431

You're welcome and thank you! I'm amazed at how much great stuff there is here, contributed by other users. Also in the threads associated with some of the exercises. When I was doing my tree, I was too crazed about getting through it, but after that I started reading the discussions - fantastic information in some of those.

Do you know about Destinos? It is an old series, but very well done, and fun to watch and work through. It is here: http://learner.org/series/destinos/

The most fun thing about Destinos for me was that the woman always went shopping in every town (to teach us colors and articles of clothing, etc.) yet the size of her suitcase always remained the same. :)

Haha, you're right, I never thought about that! In spite of its flaws, I think it is an intriguing story & a fun way to practice listening comprehension.

Oh, you're going to love it! It has a heavy, fake melodrama vibe and it pulls you right in. Such an easy pleasure! The continuity flaws are a delight.
