I thought the article "en" was not needed with professions.
Only when someone has them, as in Han är sekreterare, 'He is a secretary'. Otherwise they work as other words.
So if you had a private jet you could have "en pilot"?

"Sekreterare" was not taught in any of the lessons...?
It's taught in Occupations, Lesson 2. The words in the lessons are chosen randomly so you don't always get every word on the first attempt, especially if you pass it quickly :)
