Tips and Notes

Hello! I love the tips and notes section. But when I try to access it when I am within a practice session (by clicking the link on the upper left-hand corner), only half of the box appears on my screen. I don't know if this is due to my computer, or if it is perhaps a glitch. What do you think? Thanks!

Have you tried scrolling? Click inside the box and use your scroll wheel, arrow keys, or two-finger scroll on your trackpad. I seem to remember that the notes frame is smaller than the content needs, at least in some lessons.

I have the same problem too. Ive tried doing all that. I figured it was either a glitch or because my monitor is square and that it was designed for widescreen monitors, as most of them are nowadays. I just have an other tab open to that page.

Hm! I wonder whether you're having issues with flash or another plugin loading?

Check your plugin settings and make sure is whitelisted for all of the plugins if you have "never run" or "always ask permission" turned on. If you have the Ghostery or Adblock extensions, those have also been known to interfere with flash.

I was having trouble getting the "discuss this sentence" windows to load until I whitelisted Duolingo on the flash blocker. Hopefully "tips and tricks" is the same way.

I didn't think to try that. But I couldn't get it to work though. I even turned my AdBlocker off.

I just bought an new monitor (like 10 minutes ago). I got to open a present early ;), so it needs a monitor from the 21st century. It's wide screen, so I'll be able to say that its the monitor size or not.

Merry Christmas!

Tack! I am still not having any success, possibly because I am using a mini-laptop. So I will just be sure to read the Tips and Notes before I begin a lesson.

I can confirm (for me) that the small screen had been hindering me to see the "Tips & Notes" window. With this wide screen I can see everything and more! Hope that helps!
