It was explained earlier that "la tazza" can be "the cup" or "the mug". So what is wrong with "We have a mug." ???

Exactly! When you tap on the word 'tazza' in the sentence to be translated, it gives the option of either. Coffee drinkers will always choose 'mug' ...

It should be mug not cup. I am living in Italy right now and everyone uses the word Tazza to talk about a mug!
