Why does not "Dat is genoeg, dank je." work?
I get "Dankjewel" and "Bedankt" as "Thank you" at the end of this sentence, but why does "Dat is genoeg, alsjeblieft" not work?
It doesn't make much sense, like in English. 'That is enough, please.'
Alsjeblieft - Please (informal)
Alstublieft - Please (formal)
Dankjewel - Thank you so
Dankuwel - Thank you so (politer)
It will always be either of the first two for the translation of the word 'Please' in any context.
