Verb conjugation

What are the rules on verb conjugation? It would really help to have a set of rules instead of memorizing and/or guessing with each new word, even if the rules are used only for regular verbs.

Thanks, everyone. Very helpful sites. I think Duolingo should incorporate the information if they expect people to use the site to learn the language. In the meantime, I feel much better about verbs!

These links should get you started: http://www.laits.utexas.edu/tex/gr/v1.html and http://french.about.com/lr/french_verb_conjugations/442031/2/ The rules definitely do help a lot.

If you go to Vocabulary in the menu bar and click on a verb, Duolingo gives you a conjugation table at the bottom. This can be useful in the early stages of discover, but is no use if you haven't learnt the verb yet, or you have thousands or words to scroll through to find the one you want.

And if you follow anomalocaris' link to french.about.com, I would start by learning the -er verb group here: http://french.about.com/od/grammar/a/erverbs_regular.htm
