I was going to make a joke about Norwegian black metal, but I see you've beaten me to it. ;)

This one doesn't really relate to languages in anyways, but it is worth watching if you have ever wondered why some materials (metals) feel colder than others (plastic): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqDbMEdLiCs

How would you say the music genre "metal"?

We generally use the English word "metal" for metal in general and for heavy metal. Some specific subgenres use the Swedish word instead, e.g. death metal = either dödsmetall or the English term. For the most part, you can always use English "metal", and in some cases you can also use the Swedish metall, so it's easier to just default to English.

Either way, metalheads tend to be nice people who wouldn't dream of being insulted by a slight error. :)

Tack. Is there a difference between the pronunciation of "metall" vs "metal"?

They use their respective pronunciations in Swedish and English. :)
