Dans le fond vs Au fond?
I was refreching my french tree, then i've find these two expressions. Anyone knows what is the difference between Au fond and dans le fond?
Just checked on wordreference that 'Au fond' means at the heart of/essentially and 'Dans le fond' means basically/fundamentally. Posted the links below, if you want to see where I got the definitions from, since wordreference is very useful for checking definitions.

'Au fond' means at the bottom of, as in 'Il est au fond de la valise.' "Dans le fond' means the exact same thing.
