The Indonesian words "Bus" and "Bis" are correct, am i right?

Kalo di kamus EYD sih bus itu kendaraan, bis itu kotak surat milik kantor pos di pinggir jalan. Emang sih dulu banget waktu saya kecil belum ada teknologi, orang banyak yang ngomong "bis surat". Tapi sekarang saya menyebut "bus" juga dengan "bis", malah jarang dengar kata "bus". :)

Duolingo accepts both "bus" and "bis", but it's a mistake. As "bis" is a letterbox.

"kotak kecil (di tepi jalan, di depan kantor pos), milik kantor pos, tempat memasukkan surat yang akan dikirimkan melalui jasa kantor pos; kotak kecil di depan rumah (kantor), tempat meletakkan surat yang terkirim melalui jasa kantor pos; kotak surat"

We have to report to remove "bis".

I everyday conversation, we also say "bis" as another word for bus

Ride = tunggang

We ride the horse = Kita menunggang kuda

Umumnya ya, "riding" untuk kuda dan sepeda,
tapi "ride" dapat digunakan di sini.

" A 13-year-old girl was shot to death in front of her sister and several other students while RIDING THE BUS"

Take bukannya ambil yah , we take the a bus= kita ambil sebuah bis , maling dong :D

@naffy Gk selalu take artinya mengambil. Tergantung kalimat. So, english is flexible

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/PERCE_NEIGE

All the languages are flexible when you stay within the bounds of their grammar. English is not more flexible than Indonesian.

-"Take the bus" = idiom, ungkapan.
