Congratulations. You have won the challenge! Here are your 10 lingots. Enjoy!

You can add punto too.

Jo - I can tell that you have been studying English for some time, and although you have a few minor errors, you have done very well with this sentence.

I probably should have mentioned that I was looking for 'Spanish only' sentences, however I feel that you have done such a good job with this one that I am going to award you runner up points. Well done!

Remember that la puerta can also be gate, however.

I have no trouble with puerta and puerto thanks to Costa Rica. The first year I was here I spent half the time at a house with an "address" that included "del cementario, 100m norte, la casa con la puerta negra"--the house 100 meters north of the cemetery with the black gate. (Costa Rica is only now implementing street names and house numbers, with a great deal of resistance from the locals. So addresses are actually directions.) The rest of that trip I was living in Puerto Viejo, which was once named (in English) Old Harbor before the Costa Rican government changed its name. So gate/door and harbor are very distinct to me.

The first time I encountered la puerta in Duolingo I translated it as "the gate" and lost a heart. Ah well.

I am obviously hoping for "aero . . . puerto" . . . to count!

It should count. And aeropuerto is a good reminder.

English: I passed through the gate to cross over the bridge to drive my fishing boat from the sea port to deliver my cargo of fish.

What do you think?

Tried to keep a fun meter/rhyme thing going but I'm not 100% sure if I got the grammar right, specifically the comma situation.

After crossing the bridge , I "arrived" to the door , that could be opened to enter to the biggest indoor port .

Although I don't think that an indoor port exists, this sentence is pretty good, I think.
