The course flags.

Why on earth is the portuguese course with the brazilian flag? I understand, for example, that the american english is slightly different from the brittish english, but i think it's ridiculous that portuguese is represented by the brazilian flag. Why not put also the Ivory Cost's flag or the egyptian flag on french course and the argentinian flag on the spanish course??

Brazilian Portuguese (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brazilian_Portuguese) is what is being taught here on Duolingo. Similar to American English it is different from the Portuguese spoken in Portugal.

And before you ask: The Spanish flag is used for the Spanish course even though the course focuses on Latin American Spanish because there is no single flag for all Spanish speaking countries in Latin America and the Spanish flag is recognised by everyone.
