Podcast about Esperanto Duolingo course

Over New Years, I was interviewed about the Duolingo course at the Junulara Esperanto-Semajno - http://jes.pej.pl - in Weißwasser, Germany. You can listen (in Esperanto) to the podcast here: http://kern.punkto.info/2015/01/14/kp011-duolingo/#t=0:40.237

Enjoy!

I'll have to wait for the Esperanto course so I can understand the podcast :). I can recognize a lot of words from my Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese, but the accent still sounds so strange to me.

you all sound very fluent, hopefully when the course is made and I've completed it I will understand some of it xD

I can understand quite a bit, I was surprised. I haven't listened to Esperanto for a while so I thought I might have lost some, but every time I hear it I'm reminded how weirdly magical it is. Out of the podcasts and videos I have listened to in Esperanto, you are the most fluent speaker I've ever heard. I've always worried that without enough proper resources, it's hard for people to get to a level where they really sound fluent, but you just dispelled all those fears for me. Thanks for sharing!

UPDATE: Wow. I understood a lot. Did I hear right that you're planning to use the Google TTS for the course? Also, in response to a couple things (I think) you talked about, I think there's a wikibot that sometimes posts Wikipedia articles, but most of them are uploaded by people, and then they have to repost the translation to back to Wikipedia when it's finished. I don't know how many people follow through with the whole process. Also, I think Luis said at one point that they tested it and proved that a group of learners can provide as high quality a translation as a professional.

Congrats, I'm glad you understood so much! :)

I said, to my knowledge we will use Google TTS, but we haven't talked much about it yet internally, so those are personal assumptions.

Scusami se le parole non sono essatti ma ho scritto questo messaggio dalle pagine inglese. I wonder if I keep using Memrise and Kurso de Esperanto, will I be able to understand Esperanto podcasts in 4-5 months :)... In Varsovia Vento I heard a hip hop song, and understood like 40% of it, even though I do not speak any neo-latin language.
