I love it when you get one of those rare Dutch sentences that sounds almost exactly like the English version. I know they're closely related, but they don't usually map on on this well.

Yes. If I remember correctly, the Frisian equivalent to het is actually it. I noticed this from the cover of their translation of Het Achterhuis.

There are quite a few of them, like Waar is de bank? It's like doing Catalan or Italian from Spanish.
