Aren't captains supposed to go down with the ship?

Technically...

It's more about:

  1. Evacuate non-personnel (aka, passengers, with emphasis on children/women)
  2. Evacuate non-critical staff (chefs, waiters all that)
  3. Evacuate technical staff (engineers, such)
  4. Evacuate captain (after everyone else)

I guess it's a good thing that the captain can swim

it sounds like she says a word in between kaptajnen and svommer which sounds like the dutch word for "must". Am I just imagining this? cause it seems like it would make sense with the technical explanation

Hmm, he's a pretty crappy captain if he has to swim methinks.
