Immersion is the co-op game. You and a team of other people try to work together to translate a document from the language you're studying (e.g. French) into English. You start as a tier-1 translator, but every 100 upvotes you get from people at your own tier or above, you advance one tier. If you are sloppy or if you mess up someone else's translation, you get downvotes, which slow you down.

Immersion is an amazing feature on the Duo Lingo website which allows users to:

-Upload Creative Commons Documents for other users (and you) to translate

-Gain XP by translating text and correcting people's translations

-A whole different leveling system

So what are you waiting for? If you think you are ready you can start translating documents on Immersion. It's pretty fun and good way of practicing languages, I think.

If you click on the legend, on the right hand side, it has what the text colours mean. You can translate if it's green and just type what you think the translation is in the box that comes up. You can use duobot which is below the box to check your work, but bear in mind that duobot is just a computer and very often gets it completely wrong.
