"Marco Polo" has audio & subs in French on Netflix!
I don't know if you guys are already aware or someone already posted this--in which case, I apologize for wasting time. Anyway, Netflix's TV show, "Marco Polo," is originally in English, but they offer French, Spanish, German, and I think also Italian subs, as well as dubbed-over audio. It seems like a good source of practice to me. :)
Be warned, though. "Marco Polo" has some mature, difficult themes to watch, such as nudity, historical misogyny and racism, the like. It can be gritty. But if you do choose to watch it, I hope it's helpful, and bonne chance. :)
It's a little strange, though, if you try the French audio and French subtitles at the same time. A while ago, I switched from the English audio to Fr & Fr subtitles somewhere in the middle of an early episode. The very first bit of dialogue was pretty different between the audio and subtitles. Then a bit was very close. Then not so close, and so on. It seems that the French subtitles come straight from the English, but the dubbed version is a bit different at times-- not surprising given that the voicing has to be done with attention to what the actors mouths/faces are doing.
