"Soldaten prøver at dække sin ven."
Translation:The soldier tries to cover his friend.
Why is 'cover a friend' "dække en ven", but 'cover a window' "dække til et vindue"? Why the 'til'? Anyone?
'Dække til' is more live 'cover up' like putting a sheet over it or putting dirt on a casket. The soldier is not physically putting anything on his friend. He's covering him with fire.
