Could anyone suggest good Swedish TV series to watch or buy?

If you have a link to Amazon or an online store where I could buy it please share below.

Thank you in advance!

The Bridge would be most famous, another series called Thicker than Water has just started airing in Ireland, so presumably is also globally available.

Yup, I've seen the first season, and found it very good. It's about 50% Swedish and 50% Danish, so Danish learners could also benefit from it. :)

Thanks a million! Found them both, 'Thicker than Water' is still quite new and not available on DVD but I think 'The Bridge' is available.

If you're in the US you can watch MHz Networks http://www.mhznetworks.org which shows European mysteries and crime drama, including many Swedish ones (with English subtitles). The shows are broadcast at 9PM EST/ 6PM PST and repeated at 12PM EST/ 9PM PST daily. Many cable TV and satellite providers carry this non-commercial channel but you might not know you get it and this list is incomplete. http://www.mhznetworks.org/mhz-worldview/carriage. Seattle residents it is Channel 334 on Comcast.

All programs are streamed live online at the time they air on TV. Some programs (the ones they have the rights for this) may be watched online anytime for up to 1 week after they air, here: http://www.mhznetworks.org/programs/full-episodes.

Currently they are showing Beck on Sundays and Enemy's Enemy on Wednesday and on February 20th Commander Hamilton will begin. Also there are programs in Danish, Norwegian, German, French, Italian...

Finally they sell DVDS of some series in US format http://shop.mhznetworks.org

Juicy! I'm actually in Europe but there's a Chrome app that can get around this. Thanks, pal!

I don't know any Swedish TV shows, but there's an American TV show called "sweaden my love" which involves a lot of Swedish.

For thriller fans, the original Wallander and Arne Dahl were both in Swedish, basically any series other than Borgen that's been on BBC Four in recent years :)
