Hello!

I want to share my achievement with you - after exactly 108 days I finished my tree. From now on I'm going to continue practising and keep it gold. But I'm also planning on expanding my grammar knowledge and work on the language outside of Duoligo. I even decided to take Spanish exam so there's still a lot of work in front of me.

I would also like to use this opportunity to thank all Duolingo staff and people involved. For many years I've made many attempts to learn different languages and now I have finally found something that kept me motivated to sit down every single day and go through another lesson.

And now since my Spanish tree is finished I can go on and work on other languages. ;)

Best wishes to you all, Marta

¡Felicitaciones, Marta! You have accomplished something very amazing here. However, do not grow complacent! Keep practicing your Spanish, so it does not fall by the wayside.

Check out the reverse course sometime - It will challenge many of the concepts which you thought you had down pat in the regular course!

P.S. - I noticed that you are Polish. I can't wait to learn the language on Duo, hopefully one day soon! My ex-girlfriend was Polish, and I always felt bad that I could never speak to her in her native tongue.

Witam, witam. Jest tu nas trochę z tego co zauważyłam, tylko nie widać bo wszyscy angielskiego używają ;) Hello, Hello. There's a few of us here from what I've seen but since everyone uses English you can't really see that.

Mogliby zrobić kurs hiszpańskiego dla osób polskojęzycznych, widziałem tu klika Polaków znających hiszpański; lepiej się uczyć po polsku a nie po angielsku

They could do Spanish course for Polish people; I've seen a few Poles here that know Spanish. It's better to learn in mother tongue than in English

PS. Your English is great! :D

I'm just taking it on my finals as an additional language. The level is not really high. I guess it's not higher than B2.

And unfortunately I don't have enough knowledge in the matter to answer your question but I would be equally interested in an answer ;)

Kudos! For exam info, check the DELE website ... you will find sample exams in each level, try them to get an idea about your level, and you will find info about taking the exam in different countries http://www.dele.org/

"DELE (Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language) is the official accreditation of the degree of fluency of the Spanish Language, issued and recognised by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain."

Yeah that definitely looks good, although I don't know how different a Spanish from Spain accreditation vice Latin American Spanish would be. But I will continue looking into this!

Congrats- I'm kind of new and was kicking butt at 1st and saw every one posting how long the tree took -I wondered why so long now a bit farther in I understand-it gets a little rougher the more far one gets. That said-Marta you rock.

Thanks.

It´s always easier at the beginning. But to be honest I don´t think the time you spend over the tree is that important. What you gain out of it is more important so just take your time. Good luck with Spanish ;)

I guess you can power-through and finish the tree in around 60 days (or maybe less) but it is always better to take your time reviewing

Congrats, Marta!!! I have a question that were you learning Spanish on Duo from the very beginning, means you knew nothing at all at the time? So how good could you be at now? I'm learning Spanish plus Japanese at the same time but seriously it's so hard for me, especial my mother tongue is not English. If it's fine to you I hope you could give me your email adress so that I could ask for some experiences. Or else you don't want so, that's totally fine!!! Thank you!!!

Congratulations. I'm taking Spanish with 10xp/day goal. I can't increase the limit since there are other stuffs to do. Hopefully, I can maintain the pace for 1 year, and finish the tree.

10xp a day is still a lot more than 0xp, so just keep on going and I'm sure you'll see good results. Regular practices are the most efficient way of learning, in my opinion. I've set a higher goal for myself simply because I had a lot of free time ;)
