"I will buy dinner for everybody tomorrow."
Translation:Jeg giver aftensmad til alle i morgen.
In contrast with every other exercise, where we were expected to translate everything word for word, this one definitely stands out. How come "buy" is translatable to "giver"?
In a sentence like this 'giver' is not used as in the act of handing something to someone. "Jeg giver" when talking about something that costs money, is a way of saying "It's on me".
