Are you good at pronouncing French "r" ?
If you think so, try these 3:
Les trois ours montèrent les escaliers en courant pour vérifier leur chambre.
Le ver vert va vers le verre vert.
Un généreux déjeuner regénérait des généraux dégénérés.
It is like me having a ball of hair in my throat when practicing, at home my family is very worried... but then I tell them I am practicing these phrases and then they relax :)
Ha! Interesting~ your family might have wondered if there were something jammed in your throat :D
The last one isn't hard because of the "r"s its because of all the accents of the "e"s.
Wow, fun stuff! I think (!?) I'm doing it OK.. Do you know if there are any recordings of these somewhere? I could do with hearing someone say them!
No, I don't even pretend to be good at French r's, even though I don't find those sentences too terribly hard. If I think about what I'm doing, it's not hard but otherwise I'm awful. I can do the three r's in Scottish Gaelic (Gàidhlig has the liquids!) but I don't think I'll ever master French r's. Singing in French and listening to French singers has helped me a lot with the French r, but French people keep telling me that it's not a big deal, so no worries.
Go for it~ it's not difficult :) the thing that bothered me is the spanish r, but now it's getting better~
The trick to french 'r' is that it's pretty similar to the 'ch' in loch, only a little softer. It's easy to learn once you know that if you know scots.
I've read that in Africa, many people who speak French as a second language trill their 'r's instead.
