What are Experts?

When I click on " Discussion " and I scroll down, there's an Experts section with 7 peoples' avatars with a blue circle around them and a star. What are these Experts? And how do you become one?

At Duolingo we have a team of language experts that are incredibly knowledgable about a specific language(s). They are the people that help make the lessons better and more effective. They also incorporate the feedback of the community by reviewing the sentence reports we get. You'll often find a Duolingo language expert in the forum, so say hi next time :D

Yes they are the people who work for Duolingo. They are the staff. Each individual language has experts.
