Recent Movie Recommendations?

Has anyone here watched any more recent (2010-present) Swedish movies that are worth watching? Specifically psychological thrillers or romantic comedies.

Out of the 2010s movies, I've watched Call Girl, Blondie, and Ego (2013) so far.

Thanks in advance~

I don't know if it fits your date of release requirement, but Let the Right One In (Låt den Rätte Komma In) was pretty good, at least in my opinion.

A great film, released in 2008, The following description is from IMDB ..... Oskar, a bullied 12-year old, dreams of revenge. He falls in love with Eli, a peculiar girl. She can't stand the sun or food and to come into a room she needs to be invited. Eli gives Oskar the strength to hit back but when he realizes that Eli needs to drink other people's blood to live he's faced with a choice. How much can love forgive? Set in the Stockholm suburb of Blackeberg in 1982.

The first film came out in 2009 but the Millennium movie trilogy is REALLY good. I believe the first one is called Män som hatar kvinnor although the English title is The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Some parts of the book seemed really graphic to me -- is it like that in the movie as well?

All three movies are quite powerrful and graphic. I think the movies are better than the books.

The wikepedia description. The Millennium series consists of three bestselling and award-winning Swedish novels, written by Stieg Larsson (1954–2004). The two primary characters in the saga are Lisbeth Salander, a woman in her twenties with a photographic memory and poor social skills, and Mikael Blomkvist, an investigative journalist and publisher of a magazine called Millennium. Blomkvist, the character, has a history similar to Larsson, the author. Larsson planned the series as having ten installments, but due to his sudden death, only three were completed and published.[1][2] They are:

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Män som hatar kvinnor, literally, men who hate women) (2005) The Girl Who Played with Fire (Flickan som lekte med elden, literally, the girl who played with fire) (2006) The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest (Luftslottet som sprängdes, literally, the air castle that was blown up) (2007)

"The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared" ("Hundraåringen som klev ut genom fönstret och försvann" på svenska) from 2013 is really good. Very Swedish sense of humour. :)

Hundraåringen som klev ut genom fönstret och försvann - a great film. a couple of sumaries - Dynamite expert Allan Karlsson's life, and the unlikely events following his escape from the old folk's home on his 100th birthday. - Based on the internationally best-selling novel by Jonas Jonasson, the unlikely story of a 100-year-old man who decides it's not too late to start over. For most people it would be the adventure of a lifetime, but Allan Karlsson's unexpected journey is not his first. For a century he's made the world uncertain, and now he is on the loose again.

I really liked "Vi är bäst!" (2013).

from IMDB - Vi är bäst! - We are the Best - "Three girls in 1980s Stockholm decide to form a punk band -- despite not having any instruments and being told by everyone that punk is dead."
