A cascade of contributors

I was digging around in the innards of the incubator, when lo! I discovered some welcome and wonderful news on the French course page.

The Remarkable Rémy, the Terrific ThanKwee, the Distinguised David Xiaoxi Li, and the Superior Sitesurf have been joined by three new contributors. They are:

Welcome to these new contributors and thank you for volunteering! We would be interested to know a little bit about each of you I'm sure, so perhaps you would like to introduce yourselves? Of course, I think some of us may already be familiar with one or two of you from earlier encounters.

Bienvenue à tous !

Thank you very much for your kind welcoming words, Oskalingo. I'm 66 and a retired man. I'm French. I'm a sociologist by education and I had several positions in my professional past, including as a teacher and a researcher. Now that I'm retired, I teach French and English, yet only in one-to-one/face-to-face lessons. I like practicing English as it is like an open window over the whole world. I'm very interested in online learning and teaching. I live near Versailles, 20 kilometers west from Paris. Questions are welcome.

What wonderful news! I have already experienced your helpfulness, Jean, and now others will as well. I might have guessed you had teaching experience somewhere in your past.

Thank you very much for these kind words, Carolyn. I'm indeed glad to help. I've first a lot to learn from every incubator team member . They all seem nice, committed, busy and friendly. They already achieved a great job. See you.

Is there any plan to add other skills to the tree? Or at least any bonus skill?

It is actually interesting that collaboratively the current contributors have added more sentences than the course builder (remy). With Sitesurf's individual contributions being almost more than remy's.

Thank you very much oskalingo, DXLi, PhilAstley, ThanKwee, and the others. I'm a French woman and I live in a nice and pleasant village of the south of France. I have been an user of Duolingo for almost two years. I am very happy to become a contributor of Duolingo and to help the other users. We're going to improve our English or our French together ! Good luck everybody !

Thanks Oskalingo. You're so kind to post this. We're very happy to have more talent to help us out. I know Jackie-dd and she is brilliant and very very helpful in the forum for people who speak French and want to learn English. I just met Jean_Morgan and Keith.e.sanders and they are clearly intelligent helpful men.

Thank you all for your assistance. Because of you and all your work, I'm able to live in the middle of nowhere, USA, and learn French, despite the lack of local opportunities. :) Merci beaucoup!
