Was anyone else snowed in yesterday?
I was, in northeastern New England (US), and I used my time well: I worked through a whole bunch of lessons, one right after the other. I was at it for a couple of hours. I leveled up in French and actually lost track of how many lessons I went through, and also put some time in on German to keep in practice. The "golden tree" is beginning to look within reach in French!
Just wanted to add: I checked, and I earned 973 XP yesterday during the blizzard. Still can't remember how many lessons that was, but it was a lot! (Now I could kick myself for not pushing just a bit harder and clearing the 1,000 mark.) Most of it was in French but some was in German. Much of the French is review for me, so it tends to go quickly when I get rolling.
Eh, wasn't that snowed in where I live. At least, we're used to it here in New York xD
has just joined today
Must be upstate; I lived in the city for a few years and they didn't seem very used to it. I remember one evening I walked through six inches of snow in Union Square and I was the only person around... the quietest I've ever seen New York City! Wasn't that late either; I'm not a night person.
Actually, I live in Westchester County, just forty five minutes north of the city. We don't get much snow, but when we do, it's a lot.
Not too much in NJ. Worked from home, but forgot to do my French lesson. Quel dommage!
What a great way to spend a snow day! I would totally have done the same if I was in your situation. OK, actually I would have alternated Duolingo and netflix ;)
