Free rice

Do you want to improve your vocabulary and feel good at the same time. This site provides 10 grains of rice for every word you know.

It is very good for English vocabulary but also has basic vocabulary in other languages.

Also, if you change the site language up on the top right, they have french, spanish, italian, and korean, then they have more levels BUT you're choosing synonyms all in your target language. Much harder.

That site is great, I use it every day I'm doing school on the computer. It's a good & fun tool for getting your basic words down, learning a couple new ones, benefiting the world while learning, and saying, "Hey, that's not the definition Duolingo gave! Look how smart I am remembering that." xD Here is the group I created on the site for members of Duolingo:

This is such a brilliant idea. I love self-improvement but sometimes have trouble finding the time and/or motivation. The idea that your self-improvement will actually help other people provides an irresistible incentive!

Thanks so much for sharing this!

It's been a little inactive but we have a Duolingo group from ages ago!

Oh wow, it's been awhile since I have been on FreeRice. I can't even remember my username from that site... Was it DannyPhantomPhandom? Something along those lines I think. Anyway, for a couple of hours I was obsessed with that site. Until I got really into Khan Academy, then Duolingo.

I still find it's a great resource to use for learning. Although it appears most of FreeRice has been pretty inactive...

Cool. I have played Free Rice in the past, but just in English. This is a fun way to do vocabulary practice.
