I know it's possible as plenty of other people have done it. I finished my spanish tree, and was thinking about starting the reverse tree. However, with two trees running is it as long as one makes it's required xp the streak continues?

As long as you make enough xp to reach your daily goal, your streak will continue.

Is that in all languages I'm working on or as long as one of them reaches it? I'm going to start the reverse tree so if I set the XP for that and reach it's goal do I need to worry about the regular Spanish tree?

By other languages I'm really only referring to the reverse tree, I don't plan on starting a new language until I'm much better with this one.

It doesn't matter which tree / language you get the xp in, as long as you get your xp goal..., for instance, if your goal was 50 xp, you could get 10 xp in spanish, 10 xp in english from spanish, and 30 xp from immersion.

Ah I see, so the goal is not language specific, but overall.
