Please add time-stamps to our comments.

It's just a small thing, but I think it feels better knowing the exact date rather than seeing "1 year ago", "4 months ago"

Some arguments against doing this are (1) That it's additional visual clutter, without obvious benefit (2) That users aren't typically interested in the absolute dates or the precise chronology of comments, but rather in approximately how old they are. It's additional burden on the user to make them subtract.

It's fairly likely that the exact timestamps of the comments are available somewhere in the page source, if for some special case you wanted them!

This would be a nice feature to add, but in the meantime you could help by adding in the date to all of your new posts.

True, but would be tedious and not everyone does it. I'm not that interested in my own comments rather the ones of other people. I mean it works as it is. It's a small thing and I guess it's more of a personal preference, but in some way I think it would be more "professional" with an exact date of the comment made.

Yes, it would. But the developers at duolingo are busy churning out all the new languages we want, they don't have time to add all the features we want.

On a side note, due to this discussion I will now tag all my comments with dates and encourage others to do the same.

Sounds good with adding the date :) I don't think the developers of features and the website themselves have much to creating languages though.
