Compound past sentences in pronouns 2( french )?

i'm not sure if this is a bug, or if it has been mentioned before, but in the pronouns 2 section in french ( the one preceding compound past ) there where several sentences in the compound past, are they there to slowly introduce us to the concept....or a mistake

sorry if this has been asked before but i couldn't find it by searching.
