i assume vemodig is equivalent to the german wehmuetig. online dictionary leo.org offers wistful for wehmuetig. but duolingo does not like it. any reason or just a missing translation option?

It is very difficult to distinguish between the pronounciations of det and dig in DL. I tried forvo and the two swedish pronounciations of det are very different to DLs. Any help?

Am I the only one who has a terrible time hearing the difference between the sound of dig and det when the context isn't very obvious?
If I could just hear them one at a time together a few times it might help.

I think the best way is probably to listen to people speaking full sentences in Swedish. You will start to recognize the sentence structure and immediately realize that "Värfor är dig..." doesn't make any sense.
