Tenere in Italian = to hold. Tener in Spanish = to have. They're conjugated almost exactly the confusing...:/

It means to have/own in some Italian dialects as well.

I think it's gonna help me to remember that I've already learned a word for "to have" (ho, hai, ha), and to remember this sentence in particular because "I have the woman" doesn't make much sense.
