"Literary science" accepted. I refuse to use "literature science" unless someone can show it is a term actually used in English.

The usage is restrict to the academic community. I wonder why it showed up here.

Yes, I found the Wiki on "literary science," but is "literature science" actually used anywhere in the English-speaking world?

Oops, I misread your complaint.

Indeed, I haven't heard the phrase "literature science" in English, and I can't find any use of it. So I think while it may be accepted as a variant, it shouldn't be shown as the primary translation.

As far as I know, both "literary science" and "literature science" are not used in Canada.

You are right: https://www.google.nl/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instantion=1espv=2ie=UTF-8#q=%22literature+science%22start=0 It is probably the literal translation of the dutch "literatuurwetenschappen". But if whole sentences or parts of it are actually used in a language is not so important for Duo. In Duo's world purple mice can carry yellow elephants and people can study literature science.
