Fairy tale phrase translations

So, I'm starting to get to the point in Swedish where I can translate basic material (song lyrics etc) and would like to attempt to write out fairy tales as an exercise. However, I've no idea how 'fairy tale phrases' translate into Swedish language. Does any one here know how things such as 'Once upon a time' and 'they lived happily ever after' are written as in Swedish? Any other tidbits of information in this area would also be gratefully received, especially traditional Swedish stories.

Post your phrases and I'll try to translate them.

  • Once upon a time... = Det var en gång...
  • ..and they lived happily ever after = ...och så levde de lyckliga i alla sina dagar.
