How many words are in all the Swedish lessons?

aamirza216 shared an extension here (https://www.duolingo.com/comment/6920149) to make my home page show how many Swedish words I've learned. So naturally now I want to know - how many words are there overall?

A different question about the quizzes that I've been mulling over: I scored 5/5 last time but am confused by that score. At one point in it I wrote the English word because I totally blanked on the Swedish one - how could I have gotten a perfect score? (I know it was not a cognate.)

Just passed the second checkpoint and I'm at about 600... I'm guessing a bit over 2000?

I feel like there's many less words in the Swedish course than other courses so far. It counts sjuksköterska, sjuksköterskan, sjuksköterskor, sjuksköterskorna, sjuksköterskornas, etc... as separate "new words"... So that really racks up the word count there.

Hmm. I know about (was going to say drygt ha) 2200 so maybe that's all the words there are. Can't imagine there are many I wouldn't have been exposed to at this point.

But that isn't 2200 definitive words. There's lilla, liten, litet, små -- different forms of the same word all count as separate new words, when they're really not.

There are 2361 'words' but it the counting error actually goes both ways. Sometimes a word is added as a separate 'word' although it is a form of another word, but sometimes we've added separate words as 'forms of' other words so that they are not counted as separate words even though they are. (One example of this are jättestor and similar words, we put several of those on jätte- so they're all counted as one single word although they are not).

So if I have 2228 words so far, the missing ones are probably those other forms? I don't think I'm seeing any new words at this point in my daily exercises....

That sounds like a likely figure.
