unable to add a 2. language

Hello, currently I am learning English - Spanish since there is no German - Spanish yet.

Today I tried to add a 2. course, German - French, but unfortunately i wasn't able to get it into my headline "learning" (where you have to possibility to "Add a new course"), then I tried English - French and everything worked perfectly.

Is it supposed to be like that because i would use 2 different departure languages or am I doing something wrong?

Cheers

So you're on an English-based tree right now and then added a German-based tree? Each language's trees are stored separately. You can't switch to another base language as easily as you can switch between trees in the same base language.

I've bookmarked both "English from Spanish" and "Spanish from English" which makes switching a lot easier. I know there are some other ways, but I can't find the forum post right now. So here's the German to French page.

You can click on "Je veux apprendre l'anglais" if you are learning English from French currently (This button will say in the language you are learning from, whatever language you are currently learning.) at this link. https://www.duolingo.com/settings/direction

It will show a list of all the languages Duolingo has available written in each of the base languages (language you are learning from) and you may choose any by clicking on one.

Then you will press the button marked "Sauvegarder les modifications" if currently learning from French or "Ă„nderungen speichern" if learning from German or "Save changes" if learning from English.

There is also a Language Course Switcher userscript available, that I have not tried because it is designed for Chrome or Firefox users which I don't have. Some people are happy with it. http://duolingo.wikia.com/wiki/Duolingo_Userscripts

I am using one of those add-ons now and it's perfectly what i wanted. Is there a way to export the vocabularies or learn all together besides just clicking on certain sections like "food" or "animals" and strengthen them?

There is the Word section in Duolingo but it is not perfect. Try these member created courses on Memrise: http://www.memrise.com/courses/english/?q=duolingo+french No guarantees as they were created by other users and may or may not have errors, but I think it is worth checking into. https://duolinguist.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/back-of-cheat-sheet2.jpg http://sparkcharts.sparknotes.com/language/frenchvocab/

I actually have a ton of links, but I have to go right now so I will have to get back to you.
