I translate "het" into this, obviously it not right, and what "this" in Dutch? "Dat" is that. I am lost, lol

"Het" means "it" or "the," even though the Dutch word "da" has the same English equivalent. The Dutch equivalent for "this" is "deze." Hope that helps!
